We had a lovely dinner at my mom and dad's house. Turkey was delicious as were the White Rolls. Grace especially loved the Apple Salad which was a crossover dish from our Wehner gatherings. This was included at the suggestion of Grace! I did not bring my camera to dinner. However I do have pictures from Sean's Preschool Feast on Wednesday....
Have a wonderful Thanskgiving everyone. We will spend it with my family at my parents. Lots of eating and watching football....It is our family for which I am most thankful for today.
My cute turkey above was a recent purchase from Hobby Lobby. They finally marked it down far enough for me to purchase!

Derk's on vacation all week. We are all happy about this but someone in particular is ecstatic....
I predict much cable tv watching will be done from "the spot" this week :)
My neighbor, friend, and fellow catholic school mom is having her FIFTH child next wednesday. She is going to be induced and looking forward to a peaceful Thanksgiving in the hospital :)...the oldest is 8. We gave her a baby gift and I made the following card. Let's hope she's not surprised with a boy!
I feel like I haven't blogged at all this week....I've been trying to finish making my Christmas cards!
Last weekend we did a fun school project. Grace has to give an oral book report on an assigned saint. The report must include a representation of her saint made out of a two liter pop bottle with a styrofoam ball on top for the head. You then were to dress it accordingly!
Any guesses??? Let's hope you all guessed Blessed Mother Teresa! (It's "Blessed" now because she canonized...so many rules :)) This little project took all day to complete.
Sean says it's his turn next and for his sytrofoam project he wants to make one of these....
As I stuffed Seanie in last years winter pajamas the other night, I realized he really needed some new ones! So here he is, in all his glory, in his new jammies :)
We're all about sock monkeys lately in our house.
Since the day we brought him home from the hospital this has been his spot of choice, especially snuggling with Mom. I have spent hours upon hours with him here, but today, I can't help but notice how he now fills it up all by himself.
Sean had his family party the weekend after his actual birthday. It was a long wait for the little guy...here's just two of my favorites:
The big blow...
He is definitely getting older....he insisted that his ice cream and cake had to be on separate plates!
Since his birthday, he has been telling everyone "I'm four now" It seems to have made quite an impression on him. His teacher said he told her he's four every day for a week! He made me tell the neighbor boys he "was too four" when they didn't believe him when HE told them. I think its the perfect age :)
So Sean's birthday was three weeks ago...I still haven't posted pictures of his day. He wanted to go to the zoo but it was COLD. So we went to a local city zoo (think small) that has a wonderful playground too. He seemed satisfied.
THe Reptile House was the biggest hit with him. Can you say B-O-Y?
